When dealing with a foreclosure, you may have a lot of questions. Something that you may not think of is when you make a deal with the banks or another lender, it shows as income that you’ve earned. For example, if you short sale your home for $100,000 to get out of your $125,000 mortgage, you could receive a 1099 form stating the difference as income.
